Another Challenge and Roger Quinlan easily win the bumper

Just five newcomers went to post for the four-year-old bumper at Thurles and Another Challenge justified some market support when making all under Roger Quinlan.
Oliver McKiernan’s charge, available at 5/1 this morning and 7/2 at the track, was sent off a 3/1 chance and had far too much for his four rivals in the closing stages. Forced Kin (20/1) looked a serious threat early in the straight but wandered about and ran green under pressure and was eventually beaten by nine lengths.
The 11/10 favourite Knockanarrigan was the first horse beaten entering the straight and trailed home last of the quintet.
McKiernan said, “I wasn’t expecting that. He was very green all the way around, and the one thing he’ll do is improve.”
