Peacocks Secret was the fifth winning favourite in-a-row in at Wexford, as he made all in the Casey Bros Supporting Their Local Racecourse Beginners Chase.
With plenty of experience over the larger obstacles to his name, the John 'Shark' Hanlon trained six-year-old was sent off the 9/4 market leader in the colours of owner Antoinette Mee.
Soon in front under Rachael Blackmore, the son of Court Cave was pushed along approaching two out, and kept on well when ridden before the last, going on to prevail by a length.
The fast-finishing Cresus De Grissay had to settle for second under Sean O’Keeffe for Paul Nolan, with this one the subject of an on-course gamble (25s into 10s). Cherokee Bill (9/2) completed the placings another five and a half lengths back in third, while second favourite Crazyheart (7/2) was fourth.
Blackmore said afterwards: "The plan was to use his experience and he was entitled to win that today.
"He was probably doing a little bit too much for me everywhere, but he done it well in the end."
