Another Limerick win for Mullins/Boyd & Tumelty
Killultagh Queen and Golden Sunbird (Paul Nolan and Alan Crowe bidding for a double) dominated the betting for the Online Booking Mares Maiden Hurdle and the market was proved correct as the pair drew a distance clear. The former shaded the verdict by a head.
Killultagh Queen, winner of a bumper and a beaten favourite on her other attempt in that sphere, jumped well on her hurdling bow and this was crucial in her edging the argument from the rallying Golden Sunbird.
Willie Mullins trains Killultagh Queen for Northern owners Mrs Rose Boyd and Mrs Elizabeth Tumelty. Emmet Mullins was in the plate and he of course won the Grade 3 Freeman Keane Novice Hurdle for the same connections yesterday on Enterprise Park.
Emmet Mullins said: "She's a very nice mare - in fact they're two very good mares (Golden Sunbird as well) - and hopefully she'll go on to run in those mares' races later on."
