- Allied has the Answer
Allied has the Answer
Allied Answer landed a morning price touch when running out an impressive winner of the mile and a half Listowel Printing Works Maiden in the hands of Wayne Lordan.
Available first thing in the offices at 18/1 with Victor Chandler, and 16's with Ladbrokes, the David Wachman-trained colt was sent off a 7/1 chance on track and swept past the 9/10 favourite well over a furlong out.
Lordan's mount stayed on to great effect inside the final furlong and had seven and a half lengths to spare over the “jolly” at the line, with Smithfield (3/1) a further head back in third.
Wachman was not in attendance but Lordan said, “He's a nice horse, and the ground was a bit quick for him on his first two starts. The trip and the ground were a big help to him, and he's a nice one to look forward to.”
