Allagar defied a market drift to gain a deserved maiden success in the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Fillies Maiden at Dundalk.
Kevin Manning was keen to get to the lead on the Vocalised filly and drove her to the front after a furlong.
Jim Bolger 's charge found plenty when asked for an effort in the closing stages, galloping on strongly to post a length-and-a-quarter victory over newcomer Maoilin
The 8/1 winner (7/2 this morning) was making her 11th start of the season and had been fourth in Group 3 company at the Curragh in late August.
Manning said:- “She’d been keeping good company all year and deserved her turn. She was dropping a bit in class and did it quite well.
“If she produced any of her good runs they would nearly have been good enough to win today. It’s great to get her a winning bracket.
“I think she’s versatile trip wise and also with the ground.”
