Alhellal now 2 from 3 on the polytrack

Paddy The Celeb (7/2 this morning into 6/4) and Apache Drums dominated action 'in the ring' for the concluding [email protected] Handicap but Alhellal (9s this morning into 5s) didn't go unbacked either and he landed the spoils for Maurice Phelan and Kevin Manning.
Often a well-backed horse in the past, Akinspirit was easy in the market here but he may have been a bit unlucky in finishing second (had to be switched). Alhellal meanwhile led over a furlong out and stayed on well to hold on by half length.
Phelan, in the headlines lately courtesy of his staying chaser, Portrait King, said: "He'll probably come back here in 16 days time.
"He jumps well but we'll stick to the flat with him for the moment." (AM & EM)
