Alajan flies home to win at Tramore
The ex-John Oxx trained Alajan flew home under Sam James to land the concluding www.tramore-racecourse.com Handicap on his first start for William Fitzpatrick.
The 4-y-o Aga Khan bred was settled towards the rear by James and came home strongly in the straight to deny the well-supported favourite The Rossmeister by 1 3/4 lengths.
Fitzpatrick said: "we fancied him to run well today. He handled the quick ground well and try and find another handicap for him soon."
Alajan was Sam James' first win of the season.
