Akinspirit recorded the seventh victory of his career when taking the concluding mile-and-a-half handicap at Dundalk.
Michael Butler 's charge was produced to lead just inside the final furlong by Shane Foley.
The eight-year-old stuck on well in the closing stages to hold off the challenge of Johnnys Legacy by half a length.
The dual purpose performer had run well to finish second on his last start at the track and was going one better tonight at 5/1.
"He's a grand horse. They went off fast and he settled well. He loves it up here," said Foley afterwards.
It was the winner's third success from seven visits to the all-weather course.
