It was a case of deja vu in the Put The Fun In Fundraising At Dundalk Handicap as Aisling Oscar justified 11/8 favouritism by repeating a recent win over Mary Bagot

Owned and trained on the Curragh by Craig O’Neill, the son of Rajasinghe beat that rival by half-a-length here just over a fortnight ago and despite renewing rivalry on 8lb worse terms, extended that advantage to a length and three-quarters.

Danny Sheehy ’s mount struck the front up the centre of the track about a furlong out and despite wandering about a bit, kept on well to assert in the closing stages. Still She Blooms was a head further back in third.

Sheehy said, "He's after coming forward from his previous win. He definitely sharpened up from the experience the last day. In fairness, the drop down to seven didn't seem to be an issue there.

"He loves the surface and travelled well into the race and, even when I got there, he had plenty to look at. I'm very pleased with that, it is nice to back it up from his last run.

"It is great for Craig - that is all a small trainer needs, a horse like that that is consistent and tries hard. I'm delighted to get another one for him."
