Shay Barry's Abraham (7s from 8s and bigger earlier), previously a winner at Deauville in January 2015 at the start of his career, added to those all-weather gains in the Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Handicap.
Billy Lee was in the plate on the Cork summer hurdling winner and in this mile and a half heat he got the better of front-runner Miss Snossyboots by a length and a half.
"He's run well a few times here before. Billy rode him the last day and said he just got caught a bit turning in over the mile and a half. Ideally he'd want further but he's done it well tonight," reasoned Barry.
The Waterford handler added: "We bought him to go hurdling but he wants real good ground. He'll tell us when he's had enough and then we can put him away for next summer."
