Rachael Blackmore's stats at Gowran today after race four read '2311.' Following on from her victory on Amschel in race three, the season's leading jockey doubled up on Dew Reward in the First Auto Finance Maiden Hurdle.
A Gigginstown House Stud-owned and Henry de Bromhead-trained 7/1 shot, Dew Reward was always up there before beating fellow prominent racer Storm Rising by a neck.
Dew Reward is a half-brother to six time winner Katie T, who enjoyed her finest moment in the 2015 Grade B Boylesports Handicap Hurdle.
"He battled on really well to the line," remarked Blackmore in the aftermath.
A.E. Lynch, rider of Roibeard trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.
