Four times an all-weather scorer, today Mulzamm won his first race at the eleventh attempt on the turf, grabbing division one of the Download The BoyleSports App Handicap at Gowran on the line.
Denis Hogan has his team zipping along nicely since action returned on Monday, and Mulzamm added to gains for the stable this week, already achieved by Sceptical at Naas and Boughtinthedark at Navan yesterday.
Joe Doyle rode Boughtinthedark, and in this he conjured a great winning burst from Mulzamm to ‘short-head’ Above Us Only Sky
"He needs to be delivered on time and Joe was brilliant on him,” said Hogan.
“He is owned by a syndicate set up by my secretary, Jessica Cahalan, and he'll be kept busy during the summer."
R.C. Colgan, rider of Gormanston trained by Nigel Thomas Slevin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Above Us Only Sky trained by Stephen Francis Magee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped on leaving stalls.
N.G. McCullagh, rider of Rain Or Shine trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered slight interference a furlong and a half from the finish.
