The plan was to run him yesterday at Galway. He was declared on good ground and obviously it went yielding to soft, so it would have been a waste of time. We ran him on heavy in Listowel the last day and Conor Stone-Walsh said he hated it all the way and never went. Even today I was a little bit worried would the yielding ground be quick enough for him. He has a little bit of a wind problem and needs everything to go right, but he got a very, very good ride today. I told Danny to just drop him out and fill him with confidence and leave him on the bridle as long as he could. . He is a good horse when things go right for him, but he can be very in and out a bit. He struggles to win but I'm delighted for his owner. He obviously likes it here, he won here before and was third twice in two beginners'. . As soon as the ground turns soft or heavy he will be left off, but we might get a bit of nicer ground at some of the better tracks. We will probably keep him on the go for a little bit longer anyway and he'll go on his holidays then. I'd imagine we'll stick to fences with him for the time being anyway, he jumps well, he is very good to jump, he knows what he is doing.

he had been doing everything really well at home last year but since he ran last, we got his palate fired. At home recently he wouldn't blow you away with how he was going and I said to Rachael that he'd either win or run brutal. The last day Rachael rode him she said he stopped under her and while he scoped perfectly, obviously the operation was what he wanted. He is back the way he should be - he is a very good horse when he is right, he is a really good horse. He will get a fair penalty for that and the plan is now to go to Galway. What he will eventually make is a right chaser as he is brilliant to jump.

I'm delighted. It probably wasn't ideal running him back again that quick. I don't think he is a horse to be turned out again so quick but we were kind of forced to run him with the 13lb rise. He was 6lb well-in and needed every pound of it today. It's brilliant to win another race with him as they are so hard to win. He won with a little bit in hand. Rachael said he just leaned a little bit. He was probably getting a bit tired towards the finish. He is definitely going to get a little break now and give him a chance to freshen him up, we won't run him back for a month. He will probably go to Listowel. He might be better in a better race with a light weight as he is not overly big. I'm delighted for Sean, he is a Galway man and has stuck with me all through the years. Even when I was with Eoin Doyle he’d always have something with us. He had For A Finish and Indian Fair. He is a lucky owner and I'm delighted for him.

I was worried coming here if the ground turned soft but Rachael said early in the day that the ground was good so we said we’d let him take his chance. On his first handicap I didn’t think he would do that. He’s probably not too badly handicapped and I’m thrilled with him. His jumping was always good but I just thought going that stride quicker might find him out. He’s in at Wexford on Friday and if he’s ok I’d say we’ll have to run him.
