Meade & Flanagan double-up with Genie
After winning the opener with The Rory Story, Sean Flanagan and Noel Meade doubled-up with A Genie In Abottle in the Ryans Cleaning Chase. Tue 10th OctRory beats Roi in Galway opener
The 4/7 favourite Poli Roi was disappointingly beaten into second in the opener at Galway, the Mervue Maiden Hurdle, as The Rory Story came out on top under Sean Flanagan for Noel Meade. Tue 10th OctReview navan 24th Sep
De Plotting Shed returned from a summer break with an impressive performance to land the At The Races Hurdle at NavanSat 24th Sep
Story looks nice prospect in bumper
The Rory Story stayed on stoutly to make a winning debut for Noel Meade and Nina Carberry in the concluding bumper at Navan today. Sat 24th Sep
After race at Galway Tue, 10th Oct, 2017 (1st)
He won his bumper first time but stuck his head in the air doing so and then ran two terrible races over hurdles and we had to get his wind done. Since he has got his wind done and has had a break, he has come back in a much nicer horse. Whatever he does over hurdles will be a bonus as he will be a nice chaser. He's a decent sort and loves that ground, which is heavy, heavy. I know the favourite (Poil Roi) didn't jump particularly well but it was a good maiden hurdle and it was a good performance. I wouldn't be afraid of going three miles and we'll paddle on and see how we go.

After race at Navan Sat, 24th Sep, 2016 (1st)
Even though he was favourite I thought he might need the run as we have not done that much with him. He had a little problem with a hind joint last year,. Nina thinks he's a good horse, and he's bred to be as he has a good pedigree. He was green and will probably not run again for a while. He'll go over hurdles and jumps well.
