Reports in which Port Louis (IRE) was mentioned
Emerald enjoys beautiful Naas terrain
The owner of Champion Chase hero Captain Guinness put up the money for the Declan Landy Fencing Handicap and it was the speedsters from the Flat that were on display here, 2/1 favourite Eclipse Emerald showing the rest the way home in the hands of Joey Sheridan at Naas. Sat 11th MayEverylittlestep takes one giant leap
Colin Keane completed a photo-finishes double, and narrowly missed with another, today, steering Everylittlestep (16/5f) to win Leopardstown's Mark McCabe Handicap for trainer Yvonne Latta and owner William Powell-Harris. Thu 22nd Jun'Kensington Keane' delivers in Dublin
Champion jockey Colin Keane followed up yesterday's first Royal Ascot success with another winner at Leopardstown today, scoring on 'last-chance-saloon' winning outsider Chestnutter (16/1) in the Awards & Gifts Handicap. Thu 22nd JunNarrow success for Sea Singer
Sea Singer (9/1) continued trainer Tom Mullins' good flat record at Leopardstown today, narrowly landing the Irish EBF Auction Series Race under jockey Ben Coen. Thu 22nd Jun450/1 Roscommon treble for Noel Meade
Pearl Of Australia made all the running in the Shanagher Hearing Maiden to give Noel Meade a near 450/1 treble on the evening after earlier wins for Zero Fighter and Port Louis. Mon 22nd MayMeade doubles up with Port Louis
Fifth and fourth in his first two outings, Port Louis was very professional when landing the Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden under Colin Keane. Mon 22nd May
After race at Roscommon Mon, 22nd May, 2023 (1st)
I thought he'd win so that was great,. Colin likes him and said he'll go another furlong. He's always shown us plenty and he had a good run at the Curragh the last day over six, which was a bit too short for him. We thought seven would suit him. He only cost six grand so he was getting in here with a low weight. I suppose we'll have to think about the sales race, the seven-furlong race in Naas at the end of the season. I think there is a winner's race here and he might come back for that. Unfortunately, Jimmy Kernohan, who is from Randalstown, is not here as his wife wasn't that well. He's one of our long-time owners and has been with me an awful long time. I think that's his first Flat horse, we wheeled him out in the middle of a bunch and he said 'I want him!'
