He's sort of five and six (furlongs), but you have to take what is coming up. Conor, the son, is just back from Australia yesterday so we wanted to get running with him here before he goes back. He has a fortnight at home. The horse will be sold, it is his horse and he's going back to Australia. If there is somebody out there who wants a horse for fun, this is him. He does (put it in every day), he got him for maybe 1500 and he has won maybe 40 grand these past two years. He has won over five, six and seven now. He holds his form so he is solid. He is game and so honest.

It was a long time coming and the wee horse deserved it after two seconds. My son Conor is passionate about horses and this is his own horse. He should actually be at a function tonight for Tyrone to get his all-Ireland medal but he's here so I don't know what they'll make of that!. These races are hard to come by, it's very competitive and our horses are cheap horses doing a fun job. It's a family-run thing and Emmet and Conor are a big help to me. It's not about the money, it's about the game and the passion for it. My father trained them for years and then I took the licence out in the past few years. It's a part-time job, I wouldn't do it full-time. It's more of a hobby and I'm delighted for everybody.

To be honest I didn't think he'd handle this and always thought he wanted soft ground. He's been working super at home and actually works with Forever In Dreams. He has loads of ability and has a good turn of foot. He seemed to last out seven well which I thought he mightn't either. Con Marnane wanted to try him here and he might get another day hopefully. We'll keep him on the go. He actually won on the polytrack in France but I think that's a little bit softer than here. I didn't think he'd handle it but Con did.
