That was brilliant. Ross was riding him when he was home on a holiday, he took me off him. He was riding him out every morning with our other horse and he actually revitalised him. Normally he rides out on his own and having company revitalised him. We knew he was in great form and the question was whether he would see out the trip. After Ross getting a winner on Monday and Tuesday the pressure was on me!. That's the horse's tenth win and he's won from over six furlongs to nearly a mile-and-three so he's been brilliant. It's a pity his joint-owner Arthur Connick didn't come today because of everything at the moment but it was great. He is owned by Ross's two grandfathers, his mother and a friend.

He’s a great horse and that’s nine races in total he’s won and three for us. He’s still as energetic as ever and it’s great to get that.

he did it well but he’s a bit of an enigma. When he puts his mind to it he has the ability and it suited today. I got a nice easy run of it in front. I let him roll early into the straight and to his credit he stayed going well. We put on cheek-pieces for the first time the last day. We said we’d just try something different and it’s a case of just tricking around with him and giving him something to think about.

it’s about time I got it right on him, and if it was any other trainer I would have lost the ride a long time ago!. My dad does a great job with them. He wouldn’t be as straight forward as Park Row (eight-time winner) and you have to cod him along. The last twice I didn’t want to take his enthusiasm off him but it just played out that he wasn’t getting home. It worked out well today. I got into a nice position and he travelled away well, picked up and has done it nicely. He’s a horse that was rated higher in his earlier days, so we knew he had the ability it was just trying to get it out of him. Hopefully he’ll get a bit of confidence from that and there might be another one in him.
