It was all going on in the first split of the Ryans Cleaning Event Specialists Handicap Hurdle at Tipperary with a false start and a lengthy steward's enquiry. The placings of the first two were reversed and Clounts Meadows got the prize. Thu 11th May
After race at Thurles Thu, 23rd Nov, 2017 (1st) 
The heavy ground didn't suit him at Cork the last day and it's not as bad today. I told the owner we'd go to Thurles where the ground wouldn't be as bad and he comes and wins. He is more a 2m4f horse and we'll look for something similar again before Christmas. He's turning out to be a nice horse. He jumps well and will be a nice chaser next year.

After race at Cork Sun, 15th Oct, 2017 (1st)
he might have won the first race but for the mistake (by his runner-up Glebe Girl at the last) and I was saying to myself ‘it’s good to get one’. He’s a not a bad horse and it took him a while to mature but he stays well and we’ll probably run over 2m4f next. He got a cracking ride from Sean and he’ll ride for me whenever he’s available as he’s a top class jockey.
