We thought he was a nice two-year-old but he was disappointing one day in the north. We ran him back here and Ben said to put a tongue-tie on him. He was working well. He's rated 63 and was in a handicap here last Wednesday but had a stone-bruise on the morning and we couldn't run him. It's just as well now. There is a winners race here in two weeks time so we might go for that. The lads have the mare, they bred him, and she's bred a winner at two now so it helps everything.

I freshened him up after he ran the last time. Ross was home last week and I entered him at one minute to 12 last Thursday as an afterthought. I said to Ross 'is he okay to run' and he said 'yeah'. He was very good today and the freshness did well for him.

She ran very well here the last day and we thought she'd run well here today as well but it was a very strong heat so we weren't really sure. She's just a very straightforward filly and I got her in great shape so I haven't had to do anything other than not mess her up.
