Leabaland backs up recent win
You can see the size of him, he's a big baby,. He's a lovely moving horse and the penny is finally starting to drop with him. He's just been a slow developer. He's a lovely actioned horse, well balanced and he gets on about the job but he's just been slow to come to hand. He's got it together well. I thought the handicapper knew more than I did as I thought he maybe got it easy that day in Cork and he might have been a bit hard on him. You can see the price he was today so maybe I wasn't the only one that thought it. He's just a big horse that's coming to himself and hopefully he can keep progressing. I won't keep him going for too long more, I'll talk to the owners and see what way they are thinking but we might go once more with him. He won't go through the whole winter anyway. He'll be a lovely horse for the grass again next spring.

Patience pays off with Guiding
She lost her way a little bit. She's fairly genuine but is maybe just a little nervy in around other horses,. I gave her a couple of runs over hurdles and it hardened her up a little bit. The eye-shield probably helps as well as she can't see as much around her. Fair play to her owner who has stuck with her. Going off that hopefully there will be another day up here. She won well and Conor rode her fairly confidently. He took his time on her and she finished out well. We'll keep her on the go up here.
Lightning Boltz gains deserved win
He deserved that. He loved that surface and Billy (Lee, winning jockey) said another furlong wouldn't make any difference to him either,. He's getting a bit clever there and needed a tap or two to wake him up again. I loved the way he fought to the line and stuck his head out. He's a good hardy colt. He might come back up here for the winter. The ground was too heavy for him down in Gowran and he loved that surface. I'm delighted for Madeline Burns (owner), Maurice's daughter.
