Jazzy Dancer scores for Martin & McAteer
we had a virus for the last couple of years but lately they have all started to fire. The way he did that hopefully he can win again. I was a little bit concerned the ground would be too quick for him but Luke said he gave him a kick at the two pole and he was gone. he’s a half-brother to a horse in England called Dapper Man who I sold as a foal and has won 14 times, all over five (furlongs).
'Blame the French trainer' as De Velara returns in triumph
we thought a lot of him last year and sent him over to France to be trained because he had the premiums but it didn’t work out. He was placed a few times but we'll have to blame the French trainer!. I was a bit worried about the trip as he has lots of pace but he finished out well. The owner (John McNally) is not a seller and likes his horses so hopefully there is a dream there now. He came on well from the run in Cork and I’d imagine he’ll go for a good handicap.
Sablonne continues Team Harrington's good form
she was a bit ring rusty in the Curragh and those sprinters have to be sharp. She was sharp out of the stalls today and when the other horse (Andreas Vesalius) came to her she stayed on great. She has a super attitude. She’ll probably go for another handicap and then I’d like to get some black type with her.
