Camorra lunges late to land opener
I like Killarney and I said I'd rather have runners down here as it is my mid-term break,. He is a nice colt and we put him in the Beresford Stakes this morning, even though my rule is we don't enter until they've earned it; they have to win to qualify in my book. We thought he'd run well and Colin said he was a bit clueless when they came around him and instead of bullying him he, let him find his own way and put his head in front on the line. He is a nice colt who I didn't expect to run until October as he has next year written all over him.
Amidala toughs it out to deny Time
The draw gave her no chance at Galway and I know she won but I'm not sure about the ground,. She didn't seem to be travelling turning but it was toughness kept her in it and her battling qualities won it for her. We'll go the handicap route next.
Flare flashes late to score
He lost his chance at the start at the Curragh the last day and nearly lost it again today but he does that. He is after throwing away so many races that way,. I'll step him up to 1m2f as well and I'd say he could go jumping eventually. Being by Dandy Man you wouldn't think it but he is tough and keeps going on soft ground. I don't see why not and we didn't jump him yet but he is a good athletic horse so I'd imagine he'd jump.
Altitude acts on soft to repeat Killarney win
The ground was a little bit of a worry and not ideal for him but he is genuine and tough. We'll go for something similar next.
Flyer US bound after impressive hurdling debut
Darver dominates in Killarney feature
After he won the last day I rang Sandy Shaw (handicapper) to tell him he had been very hard on him and had it out with him but have to apologise now. I didn't think he was that good so I'm obviously delighted,. I can't wait until he jumps a fence, he'll be a lovely horse over fences and please god he stays right and he'll go chasing shortly. He doesn't want knee-deep ground and doesn't want it too soft but will race away for the winter.
Kennedy back in winners enclosure at local track
I was worried about the ground and Jack gave him a good plucky run around,. He had to go for the run up the inside and it was the difference of winning and losing. It's nice for Jack to get back with a winner as he is only back from an injury. He wouldn't go in the real depths of winter but we'll see what we can find over the next few weeks.
