Elsie eases to victory in the opener at Sligo
It's All An Act gets off the mark over fences
It's lovely that he has won a chase. He jumps brilliant. It's hard to believe that he's 90 over hurdles and can't win one (0 from 10 over flights). Andrew said he's a much better chaser than a hurdler.
Call Rog sees off his three rivals in the third
He jumped well, and it's a nice start to the season. He probably wants a bit further.
Russell the Man in Sligo feature
He was a bit unlucky at Killarney over hurdles where he pricked his ears and was just beaten. He's a very good horse over fences, and that's his sixth win. In fairness Davy was on looking for the ride early in the week, and I knew that was a good sign. He doesn't want very heavy ground.
Abarta battles gamely to beat Survival
He was a bit disappointing at Ballinrobe where he was dropped in and jumped high. He saw more daylight today and jumped better. As long as the ground stays middling he will keep going. He needs three miles.
First time blinkers work a treat on Tom
It was a nice opportunity for him. We put blinkers on as Frank (Berry) felt he was not jumping as well as he can. Paul said his jumping improved as he went around today. He wants good ground and a trip. He's in the Munster National and we'll look at the Cork National and other long distance races like that. The further they go the better for him.
Double for Morris as Spot gets off the mark
He deserved it. An inch is as good as a mile to him!
