Stuccodor completes five-timer
He had to battle hard to win but got a good positive ride and he handled the ground well. He'll keep going as long as the ground is like this but will get his summer holidays when it dries up. He has schooled over hurdles and that's where his future will lie. It needed a horse to stay well to win today.
Freewheel toughs it out on debut
He won nicely. Joseph said he could go further and he was a bit green. Hopefully he can progress and he's a grand big horse. I was at the furlong pole and he seemed to win going away but the second was only rated 76.
Hurricane blows in again under a penalty
He was entitled to win and it was a good performance as he was flat to the boards going down the back. It's not too bad up the straight but the lads are saying it's worse down the back straight.
Deer wins despite the ground
He was tough as he hated the ground. He just got away with it. Chris knew going down (to the start) that he was in trouble, and he was even doing a bit too much in the race. He's very likable and progressive, and he's improving with every run and every piece of work. We have no big plans but he could be an Ulster Derby type of horse.
Clara justifies support on handicap debut
We always liked her. She's always promised a lot but she can be anxious, and getting her relaxed is the key to help her get home. Pat gave her a grand ride and hopefully we'll get another with her. She's a half-sister to Get Me Out Of Here.
