So Young gets favourite backers off to a winning start
Two and a half miles is the right trip for him, he definitely needs that. That looks a good performance. I'll find another novices hurdle for him. He's not the biggest horse and wouldn't strike me as a chaser.
Elliott scores with Fool's Wildcat
That was a good win as he has been sneaking up the handicap. I've had three or four winners for the owners Mick and Marie O'Shea this season. He's a better horse on better ground but I might turn him out later in the week as he is entered everywhere.
Bostons causes shock in Fort Leney Chase
Mourad shows his class
The race conditions suited him though I was afraid of the heavy ground. He will go for the stayers hurdle at Cheltenham but will maybe have one or two runs before then if I can find a race like that. Paul (Townend) gave him a smashing ride and he said that the ground was very heavy which wouldnt have suited Mourad at all.
Pandorama bounces back to form
He must have tapped his head in the horse box as something wasn't right with him even though he scoped ok.We are back on track and will aim for the Hennessy back here if he stays right. We are still dreaming of the Gold Cup. He worked very well at Dundalk last Thursday and had some good horses behind him. We'll enjoy today. We know he goes left handed and that was only his fifth run over fences so he is still improving. I wouldn't run him on good ground. It has to be yielding or softer. The Listener put in an eyecatching display of frontrunning with some prodigious leaps coming off a break off 416 days before fading at the business end of the race. Pandorama received quotes of 14/1 and 16/1 for the Gold Cup from Sean Graham and Boylesports respectively. William Hill go 20/1.
Prima Vista seals quickfire Meade double
I'd like to bring him back for the MCR Hurdle at Leopardstown on Saturday week but he needs a penalty to get into it. Hopefully he will get into it now.
Star Neuville turns over the talking horses
He's a proper horse. He could go to Cheltenham. I though Brian gave him a great ride. I've always thought a lot of the horse. I shouldn't really have ran him last time out at Naas as it turned out he wasn't quite right.
