La Tektor shows his toughness in Fairyhouse
He dug deep. Unfortunately he's just met a few good ones before today. The experience helped today. He jumped and gallops. Fairyhouse did a great job watering and for the man that owns him it was great, so it worked out brilliant. He jumps well and he had a good run in a point-to-point behind Kaiser Black. Hopefully he comes home safe now and we'll go novice chasing next year. He has a great constitution and it's unbelievable how he has been taking his racing. After a week he's back bouncing and eating his grub. We'll see how is he. He's been good for the last few weeks; you'd like to let him off but it all depends how he is next week and we'll see about Punchestown on the Friday or Saturday.

I thought it would be hard giving her (Pravalaguna) weight but there wasn't a whole lot in it. It could have gone either way - I thought Ruby (Walsh) might have a trick or two up his sleeve but luckily enough we had the horse underneath us. She would probably be entitled to (go to Punchestown), she is hard on herself is the only thing. We'll see how she comes out of it. She's very sharp. You saw more than I did as I just arrived here when they were pulling up. Paul thought she was going a little right today, I don't know why. He said the ground was well watered and it's a credit to Fairyhouse to produce ground in weather like this.

Ronald Pump goes from strength to strength
He's just been improving and he really wants to win. I bought him for €1,000 at Tattersalls and we didn't expect him to be this good. He had a nice page and there was just something about him that I liked. I know he's a bit small but it's no bother to him. He's just improving the whole time and to do that off 136. I knew he was in good form and I knew he'd run a big race but he won going away. I wasn't overly concerned about his raise for his last win. He works well and he's a really nice horse. The plan was to go to Aintree but it was just a little bit quick after Cork so we said we'd come here. His work the other day was middling, he didn't work as well as he usually would, and I was 50/50 about running but thankfully I did. Keith is a really good rider and he gave him a great ride. I'll chat to the lads and he could probably do with a little break at some stage. I was toying with the idea of running him on the Flat over a mile-six or two miles. He'll go on all sorts of ground. He'll go on heavy ground or good ground.
Fire still burns bright in Ivanovich Gorbatov
They went quick and he enjoys that. He travels and he jumps very well. He probably got there a little bit sooner than ideal but he got a good jump at the last and that probably finished it for the rest of them. JJ gave him a great ride, he's been riding the horse and he knows him well. You have to take a chance, go down the inside, cover him up and have a go late. Things fell his way today, it's a lovely pot and I'm delighted for JP (McManus). He loves having cover, he loves good ground and a strong pace. When things fall his way he's a good horse and when things don't go his way he tends to sulk a little bit and he gives up. Thankfully today things went his way. He was working well but you don't know what you're going to get with him. JJ gave the horse a fantastic ride. He's strong as an Ox. He's a big help to us, he works every single day schooling and you name it. Obviously we get on very well. He knows how we like the horse ridden and he gets the job done.
O'Neill a more than able deputy on Ucello Conti
Barry said he was only getting going. He said he felt great and he thought he would have won anyway. He's a grand fun horse and he'll probably go to Punchestown now. I'll talk to Simon (Munir) and Isaac (Souede) and see what they want to do next year but he's been a great horse and has been unlucky that he hasn't won a big handicap chase somewhere. It's nice for him to get his head in front in a few races.
