Spill The Beans wins Tramore opener
Spill The Beans deserved to win one and Andrew gave him a clever front-running ride. He'll go chasing straightaway now and should be better over fences as he has no respect from hurdles. It is a nice tonic for his owner Herb Stanley who is not feeling great at present.
Another victory for Vinnie
Vinnie was having his third hard race in a short period and may have a break now. He is happy racing from the front and received a great ride from a great rider.
Ducey off the mark at Tramore
Garry's father Garrett Ducey held the license until his sudden death last November. The Turf Club then granted Garry the temporary license. Garry, along with 15 others, is currently attending the trainers' course to properly gain the license and has four horses in training at present.
Fahey rides first winnner
I'm delighted for Ciara because she rides out every morning before she goes to school, is very committed and gave Lea Lady a great ride . Lea Lady deserved that win and although she is bred for shorter, needs a stamina test and will go for another handicap next, probably over 2m6f or three miles.
Back Of The Pack wins at Tramore
that's my fourth winner since taking over the license from my father (T.J.) 18 months ago and Mike gave her a great ride today. I don't know what went wrong at Listowel the last day but popped her over fences afterwards and then decided to run here. She gave some exhibition of jumping today and has a career over fences - she may some day be good enough to run in those mares chases but will go for a winners' race next.
Skidroe Joe wins for Hassett/Townend
Skidroe Joe was having his first run back from a break and I thought he would need the run. He'll go for something similar again next and wants nice ground.
Roszas Girl wins Ladies bumper
Roszas Girl was tapped for toe in the dip but battled and battled and was given a great ride to win. Once she got into a rhythm she stayed on well. We'll give her a week or two off now and we'll start schooling her then.
