Cnoc Seoda makes all in Thurles opener
We always thought she was smart. We put a tongue tie on her for the first time today. Hopefully she will be ok in the morning and she will go for a mares winners race next.
Successful debut over fences for Marito
He is not a big horse but he is very strong. He jumped well enough and he jumped better the faster they were going. I would have no problem stepping him up in trip to two and a half miles or two mile six. I have no immediate plans for him now. He is a horse that has had trouble in the past so I hope he will be ok.
Forpady gains deserved win at Thurles
That is a great relief after three and a half years without a win. Things went all wrong for him at Cheltenham (last time out in the Paddy Power Gold Cup). He missed the first few fences and that was it. Paddy Brennan had the brain to pull him up as he seemed to lose all confidence. This was an ideal race for him even though it was over three miles on heavy ground which was a worry but he got the job done. He will be trained for the Grand National now. He had to be placed in a three mile race to get in it and that's it done now. He will have two more runs before Aintree. He jumped brilliant today which he hadn't done for a while.
Make A Track gets the better of Vesper Bell
It's great to beat Willie. It is very hard to beat him! . He is just below a graded horse but I wouldn't mind a few more like him. He will go for a winners of one somewhere now. He is a good honest horse and his jumping is good and economical. He stays well but he doesn't do a whole lot in front.
Two from two for Saoirse Dun in handicaps
He had sixteen pounds more than he had the last day, including the claim and I thought the eleven pound penalty was a bit harsh. He is improving and he is going the right way. He will stick to handicaps as he is not good enough for novice races.
Double for Cooper as Whiskey takes the last
He will go for another handicap around Christmas time.
