Croke Park really on the ball in Clonmel
Mount Sinai shows plenty of ability on hurdling debut
She was running keen in her bumpers and jumped very well today which improved her and also it helped her to relax. I actually didn't think she'd handle this ground, but she loved it. Her brother likes that ground as well but she is very different and is smaller and slighter.Ã . The ground is so wet, it is loose though and it is different that dry-heavy - if that makes sense.Ã . It was a nice surprise and we won't have any fancy targets, but we'll try to pick up some blacktype somewhere and she has the scope to jump fences as well.
Castle Field Boy back with a bang
I'm delighted with him as I was worried about his lack of a recent run in those conditions over three miles. I thought it would be a big ask for him, but the one this with him is he is as tough as nails. I think he'll improve from that. The plan after winning in Tipperary was to go straight chasing with him, but we thought he might have had a bit left over hurdles. Now we don't know what we're going to do, so we'll play it by ear. . He is a Scorpion so will go through that ground all day. He has won on yielding but wouldn't want it any drier. We'll see how he comes out of this and go from there.
Williamson savours 'best feeling in the world' on his first winner
Norman rode his first winner on this track and this was Josh's first ride over hurdles. I'm thrilled and also thankful to my other half (Kay) for putting him up. It is very special and we're delighted. The horse had shown a little bit but went off last year and when he ended up, he wouldn't beat me. We did a few changes though and he looks well now. Let's hope this is the first of many for him (Williamson).
Limerick Lace in charge for Cromwell and Walsh
Bonnie Kellie delivers under King
She deserved that as she had been unlucky and was going to run well the last day (when exiting at the third-last). It wasn't pretty stuff today, but got the job done. It is very tough going today, but Pa said she was also getting a bit lonely up the home straight. . I'm delighted for the syndicate which are local and I'll leave her alone now until Christmas where she might go to Limerick for the Tim Duggan Memorial Chase. She could also go back over hurdles at some stage.
