Ciel De Neige takes well to fences
Cluskey's Ciankyle relishes the good ground at Thurles
That's his second win over fences and he has been a great servant to us. He did well in Clonmel when he came up against a better one of Jim Dreaper's (Shopping Around) and we were going to let him off but he ran so well we said we'd give him another run. The ground has held up for him and now we'll see what way the ground fares out. You'd never know where we'd turn up. I wouldn't mind having a few more like him!
All very straightforward for Cilaos Emery
Vina Ardanza makes a winning start for Elliott
He was grand but was a bit novicey and landed over the last three big enough. He is probably a better than the short-head he won and he is probably a horse more for the spring and summer than winter heavy. He was green but he is a baby and we might give him a break now for a few months. He is a little revved up at home but when he gets going is fine. It was a nice performance and he couldn't do any more than win and I think he will improve plenty from it.
Treble for Mullins as O'Keeffe scores on Braganza
Warrior makes winning start for de Bromhead
I'm delighted for the (Warriors) syndicate who are new to us and Hugh Bleahan (previous owner) recommended him in fairness to him and felt he was unlucky last year. He looked good over two (miles) today and we might look for a novice handicap now. I'm delighted for the guys and I hope they know how hard it normally is to get a maiden hurdle winner! There are 10 in the syndicate and from all over Ireland.
Eoin Walsh sits tight to complete 122/1 double
That was great and he had a good, long-legged jockey who sat him well at the last. He clipped the top bar and got in a hole at the back of it, I believe, and he was very close to coming off. He ran well in Limerick (second to Lake Chad last week) and here previously and loved the better ground. We'll keep tipping away as long as it's not heavy ground.
