It was nicer ground than at Naas the last day. It was quite firm there. There is also quite a few ridges at Naas while it's a lovely level surface here. It's grand that she has won her maiden and we will see now about a handicap.

He is a nice big horse and the nicer ground after Leopardstown suited him.
Friendship cruises to victory
He's just a slow learner. He was brought to Royal Ascot on his second run and was disappointing but has just taken a couple of runs to get the hang of things. He's an uncomplicated horse and is on an upward curve now.

It all went according to plan. Billy felt that there would be a strong pace and she is very uncomplicated although the main thing is not to take a pull out of her. When she shot clear she was looking around. We may go to Longchamp with her now on Arc weekend for the Prix De La Foret over seven furlongs. She is a right mare and she has good form in France on soft ground. She doesn't seem to mind what way it is. She is a big filly and I didn't mind her carrying nine stone ten here as she is well able for it.
Georgia on my mind
My wife Catherine and I spent St Patrick's Day in Savannah, Georgia this year and we met Monsignor O'Neill and Sheri Kinsella who are here this evening and are part of the syndicate. The visor got her more interested. She is a talented filly but still weak and she lasted it out well.

She is a very genuine filly and I think she'll get further. She is in again at Ballinrobe next Tuesday and she'll probably go there under a five pound penalty. She won her maiden there and she handles the track well.
States brings up a treble for the O'Brien's
He is back on good ground which he likes. He won his maiden on good ground and then disappointed at Leopardstown. He had a little setback after that and we gave him time.
