Trifolium thrills at Thurles
From the first day we schooled him he jumped fantastic but he's had so many problems. He's been done for his wind and he's had one or two more problems as well. Heavy ground seems to be the killer for his wind. We'll tip away from here and he'll be entered in whatever two mile races there are for him. It suits him to be out in front and he's able to keep filling up. He won a good few races last year from the front. He should be easy to train after today,.
A Decent Excuse is tops at Thurles
It wasn't before time and he'll go for something similar over Christmas if he gets in.
Giant puts his best side out
It worked (the blinkers). He was lucky he met the last on a good stride and that was a big help to him. We decided that we may as well go on with him today as he wasn't going to come from behind. He doesn't seem to like passing horses . mind you he doesn't like them passing him either.
Tipp on top at Thurles
He was a bit more confident today (in his jumping) than he was at Clonmel and the ground was still nice for him. He stays and travels very well and hopefully it's onwards and upwards from here. He's a tall raw horse and he'll be a nice horse in the spring when he should improve more.
Katie looks a good one
She was working great but we just thought she mightn't be quick enough for hurdles. Paul said we can go where we like with her from here though.
