Porters Place another name to note from Twomey yard
Look, she is a nice filly and I was hopeful coming here today. I told her owners that if everything went right, she would have a chance of winning. First time out you are always worried; she was plenty green and inexperienced through the race. I wouldn't have been surprised if she finished third or fourth but I'm delighted she did what she did. I'd be hoping that if everything went right and we were lucky, we might be able to dream for the winter about having an Oaks filly on our hands.

Lee doubles up on Racing Royalty
Yeah it was fantastic,. He toughed it out well there. I knew he came out of the Listowel race well. He is an easy horse to train and I'm delighted for everyone involved. Billy said he won a bit snugly in Listowel. He was pulling up a bit at the line. He couldn't do that today though. He really had to knuckle down. We bought him in the July Sales two years ago on the back of being a half-brother to Inventor. We got him home, looked at him and liked him. A few of the lads got involved and we kept a share ourselves. I'm delighted.
Blue Peak scores for Grassick & Sheehy
That's the first winner I've trained for my cousin Cathy, so it was an important one. She got covered last weekend by New Bay, so she is going to Australia at the end of the year. Hopefully we will know on Monday whether she is in foal or not. She will probably have one more spin I'd say. There is another 7f handicap for her here at the end of the month.

Dutch proves Gold for Keane and Meade
It wasn't the plan to be as handy but they went slow and he just jumped so quick. I think he is a good horse. He won very easy in the North. On his next run at Navan, the reins broke and he was never able to get into the race. Last time at Leopardstown, the stupid trainer ran him over too far! . I gelded him after that. The plan has always been to go jumping and he has schooled well. He is owned by a jumping man; his owner has Jeff Kidder. He is entered on Sunday in a three-year-old handicap and I'd say it's quite possible he could run.
