Cottie gets her turn in opening maiden
I didn't get a chance to see the race yet but apparently we were lucky not to be brought down. It is great she won, I'm delighted for Pimlico who are great supporters of ours and it is lovely Darragh won on her.
Gaelic Arc easily accounts for rated rivals
I couldn't believe who made that horse 14/1, it was a joke! We changed the way of riding him and he didn't come off the bridle at Down Royal, so I was wondering what I was missing - I couldn't understand it. He had gone off the boil after having a hard race behind American Mike last December and he loves the top of the ground. His half-brother won (Galop Marin) won four French Grade 1s. That chap (Prendergast) is in with me three days a week and this horse was his first winner as a conditional jockey at Down Royal. I left him on again today and it is great for him.
Fortune smiles on The Dasher Conway
it is great to get him back winning and he jumped and travelled great. Something was amiss with him following his last run (inJanuary) and we straightened it out. The way he jumped a hurdle there, you'd look forward to him going over a fence. I have three horses in training and some pre-trainers.
Lieutenant Highway shows battling qualities under Kennedy
he has been knocking on the door and has had a few nice runs so it was good to get his head in front. It is great for Mr (Michael) Hanrahan who is a great owner of Gordon's. Hopefully he will go along and pick up a few more over the summer, he seems to enjoy that ground. Jack gave him a nice ride from the front and the horse enjoyed himself and he battled when the other horse came to him.

Father Jed helps trainer Ryan to Clonmel double
he is a great old favourite and Donagh gave him a peach of a ride and is a top class rider. Donagh won big pots for me as a claimer and has been coming in to me a few days a week recently. He'll ride mine along with Danny Mullins, Bryan Cooper, Shane Fitzgerald and some other lads. The horse will mix between hurdles and fences for the summer but is better over fences. It has been a great start to the season, it's grand to get going again.
