Spin takes opener in style
She's a nice staying filly, she likes the Curragh mile. She's really a mile, seven furlong filly, she stays well and is a good mover with no ground preference.
Fame takes Glory once again
It's good to get him started back again, we gave him a mid-season break. His next run could be in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown or the Arc Trial at Longchamp. After that we'll have a look at the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe. He has progressed well all season and his performance here in the Tattersalls Stakes was very good.
Carberry Champion of Fegentri
It was nice to have Nina on board and she got him settled as he was a little keen early on. He dropped it when something came near him. He lost a shoe at Leopardstown the last day I think he was just having an off day. He likes to get his toe in and we'll run him over a trip if we can get him into a mile and six race somewhere.
Laughing Lashes wins Debutante Stakes
I'm absolutely delighted with that win. We'll have to have a conference with the owners as to where to go but where ever we do go we'll have to supplement her. I know Ruby [Walsh] is keen to go to France. Fran [Berry] was very happy with her, it's great to have a man on form and Fran is riding out of his skin at the moment. The plan was always to come up the middle and avoid any trouble and she quickened up well for him.
Zoffany claims Phoenix Stakes
He went to Ascot as a baby and it all happened a little bit too fast for him. We stepped him up in trip so things would happen a bit slower. The plan was to get him relaxed and Johnny was very cool on him and gave him a great ride. He's getting heavier all of the time and he's a lot stronger and more mature now as long as he keeps putting on weight we'll keep going with him. We'll take it one step at a time but the National Stakes looks a likely option.
Pencil Hill back to winning ways
To say he's been frustrating is an under statement but maybe now he's got his head in front it'll give him a bit of confidence. Pat [Shanahan] gave him a great ride.
Halford scores with Snaefell
He is a wonderful servant to have in the yard, he just loves it around the Curragh. Pat Smullen rode him the last day and suggested we put a pair on blinkers on him as he was beginning to idle a bit. I'm thrilled for Shane [Foley], I'm so lucky to have such two good hard working lads as Shane and Gary Carroll riding for me.
Tellelle takes last at the Curragh
He didn't get a run at Galway on both occasions. Martin [Harley] said he never travelled as easy on a horse with a furlong to go. We might step her up to Listed company next over that trip and she loved the ease in the ground.
