Winning start from Joseph Conrad over flights for Elliott and Donoghue
Corkman Corkery appreciates his first winner
I am originally from Donoughmore which is 12 miles out the road so it is a nice place to get my first win. I have a business and a farm where I live in Cappoquin, Co Waterford now and this as my golf!. I've put bad ones through my hands but I had a good mare called Mrs Mac Veale (seven-time winner for trainers Robert Murphy and Gavin Dower) who I used to ride a lot and would do a lot of the work myself. I have the license four years and I ride this fellow myself every day. Jimmy Moloney, an ex-jockey, often does the last bit of work for me; he is a pensioner like myself but is very talented and a great man to ride. I have two more horses in training and have a few foals as well. A lot of people thought Appreciate It had an awful lot left in the tank the last day but I knew I have a good horse coming and we were confidence coming here today. I haven't looked beyond today but will skip Christmas as he has had two runs on the bounce, and will wait until January to run next.

O'Regan bags first Graded winner for Elliott
she stayed at it well. I felt if she showed up in the same form as the last day, with a good round of jumping, and go forward a bit earlier, she was bound to be competitive. She possibly came forward from her run the last day and that run the last day wasn't a bad race. It is lovely to win the race and get the black-type all in one. It's great to get a winner for Gordon.
Sayce Gold climbing the ladder at her ease
We are very lucky to have one like that and we have great help at home and all work together. Darragh O'Keeffe came over the other day when Brian Hayes (riding at Punchestown) couldn't make it and did a bit of work with her,. She learned a bit today as she didn't have to do it all in front. I think 2m4f is perfect for her and soft ground is a help; if the ground was too quick you wouldn't run, she loves to put her toe into it. I have no idea what plans are and I'll leave that to Mick Meagher, Trevor's (Hemmings) manager.
