Conor shows he's the top 3-y-o in Ireland
He's a good leaper and he has a turn of foot. He has everything you need. He ran on better ground on the flat and he'd probably prefer that. You'd have to say he is (a Triumph Hurdle contender), hopefully anyway if he progresses and stays right. He's proven now he's decent and he won well enough. Bryan thought going to the last that he'd like something in front of him as he looked at it a bit. He might go to Leopardstown at Christmas, we've got a month and there's no reason he shouldn't. From the first day he saw a hurdle he was a natural and he just likes it.
Jezki is tops over two in the Royal Bond
I'm absolutely thrilled, it all went to plan. Barry said that's what he was going to do . sit in behind the others. When he gave him a squeeze three out he knew he had a lot of horse. He clattered the first and it just frightened him a bit and he jumped a bit big as far as Ballyhack. He was straight and true where it mattered and when they were going a bit quicker he concentrated more. The Supreme Novices' is the long term target as he's a two-miler. We'll have to discuss plans with the owner but he'll have at least one more run before Cheltenham. He could easily run at Christmas (if the ground is good) and after that I don't know. He's only four and he's bound to improve a bit for more experience. I was a little bit worried about going right-handed for the first time as all his runs have been left-handed. When I saw him jumping left early on I thought that's what we had discussed yesterday. He's always wanted better ground. The whole family want it on top and I'd imagine he'll be better on better ground too.
Arvika brilliant in the Drinmore
He was very impressive. He did it very well, his jumping was fantastic. He has a tremendous cruising speed and we wouldn't be afraid to go back to two miles . that's maybe his job. He was very fast over the first four fences. There was a few front runners in it and they were all trying to make it. He has the jumping ability along with the pace. Until we see that he's not able to do it over two miles we'll go that way first. He had a year off. He just had a little problem. With horses like him you just have to give them a bit of time. We'll keep him running as much as we can and get all the experience we can with him. We'll look at Christmas now.
Lady holds off Salley again
She's improving all the time. I thought she had a reasonable chance at the weights. There wasn't much between her and Our Girl Salley on their last two runs and she was getting a little pull today. I was delighted with her coming into the race. She's tough and we'll stick to the mares races.
Zaidpour too good for Hatton's Grace rivals
It was a fantastic result and he's stronger this year. A lot of my horses didn't do well on grass but they seem stronger. They came in looking a bit rough but the mental break is good for them rather than the grass itself. We might go down the World Hurdle route. I think he'll improve. He's good enough to run in a Champion Hurdle but the obvious thing would be to go over a longer trip. I doubt he'll take on Hurricane Fly but he'll be entered for all the races over Christmas. He has the pace for two miles but he has plenty of stamina as well. It depends on what runners we have but I'd imagine he'll go further . over two and a half or three miles. Himself and Thousand Stars fall into the same kind of bracket. I have to give a lot of credit to Virginie who rides him out all the time. She does a lot of slow work on him and keeps him right as he had shoulder trouble when we got him.
Double makes it a day to remember for Enright
That's great . he stays all day. I was afraid of the ground as he likes it better. I've said to Paul in the past that he might be an Irish National horse some day. I was on the lower stand so I thought he was beaten. I didn't think he got back up.
3 for Mullins at Fairyhouse at over 40 to 1
He hadn't shown those type of gears at home and I thought he was an out and out galloper. He showed a turn of foot today. He was a bit hairy on the first bend and Patrick had to pull him back a bit.
