Elliott Off The Mark for O'Leary
This horse loves that ground and he jumps and stays well. He'll be entered at Leopardstown and Limerick over Christmas. Quotes for the Triumph Hurdle about the twenty three length winner varied between 20 and 40 to one. (EM)
Pandorama Takes the Breath Away
Wow, that would keep you dreaming. He was awesome. He handles soft ground really well, he has a huge engine and is very clear winded. He probably is best on soft ground and I wouldn't like to see him running on fast ground. He only has a very light pedigree but he is really laid back and his next start will be in the Barry & Sandra Kelly Memorial Novice Hurdle here (December 14th) and then he'll have a break before coming back in the spring.
This is a very good mare, she is a real class act. Her next run will be either at Leopardstown over Christmas or she'll wait for Cheltenham in March. She is the best I have by a long shot. She hates that ground, she wants better ground and the Coral Cup is her target. (EM)
Mikael Lands Gamble
He is a good recruit and I'm delighted with that. We thought about going chasing with the horse but he showed so much at home that we decided to give hurdling a go. He'll stay further, I have no worries about trip, he's bred to stay and he'll go for a novice hurdle now. (EM)
Notre Pere Lands Troytown
The shamozzle obviously helped. He is a real old fashioned chaser but he probably isn't good enough to go for the Lexus Chase. The plan now is either the Paddy Power Chase or the Welsh National at Chepstow.
Top Of The Rock Narrowly on Top
He'll probably go to Limerick at Christmas for a two mile three furlong chase. He is not really quick enough for two miles. He copes very well with really soft ground and Mark was very strong on him there. (EM)
Long Strand Lasts Longest
I was a bit disappointed he didn't win first time out, he works very well at home. He should make a real nice chaser in time, being by Saddlers' Hall, as they don't come to themselves until later on and he'll probably be for sale. (EM)
