Katie T wins jumps 'gold' for Prendergast
Swan's Getoutwhenyoucan completes treble
it's a help having Tony (McCoy) although I don't know who gave the horse a harder ride from the last - me or him!. Ger Fox (jockey) had done well on him before today and while the horse is usually a good jumper, he missed the last two. It's great to win three in a row with him and he loves that ground and will get a further. We'll probably have to look at running him in a better class of handicap next.
Mozoltov survives jumping errors for G2 win
he hasn't been making those mistakes before but I feel it was more to do with him not having company today and being out on his own throughout.
Fenton lands Grade 2 win with Real Steel
he was the lowest rated horse in the race and I didn't think he was capable of winning but he's improving and jumped better today. He's a huge horse and he'll go chasing next season.
Days Hotel follows up last year's Naas win
his first run this season was good but his next few were disappointing and I thought it would be tough to turn the tables on Twinlight (on Cork form in December). He has really come to himself in the last two weeks though and we tested his (Twinlight's) jumping down the back. I'd like to go back up to 2m4f at some stage but not on this testing ground; we'll look at races like the Webster Cup at Navan and the Normans Grove Chase in Fairyhouse.
Carberry gets Armagh trainer off the mark
when he ran at Thurles on Friday, he got a nose bleed traveling down and I'm not sure if he got a knock in the trailer but did receive the all clear to run. I probably took a chance by running him today but he didn't take a blow after the Thurles race and because of that we decided to come here. Also, when are you going to get Paul Carberry up with just ten stone! . We'll give him a break now and it's great for the lads (Red Neds Racing Club). I've only had my first runners as a trainer in the last two weeks and have had two seconds and a winner from four runners which isn't too bad!
