Katla is the first foal of the mare (Bratislava) so it is great. We covered her up in the Curragh the last day and I'd suppose if we'd made more use of her we could have won. It's easy say that now though as it is hard for a small fellow to go to the Curragh and be confident.

I felt she had a good chance today and I feel now that she'll get a mile and six. She only cost around 12 grand as a yearling and she has been an unreal servant as she's had well over forty runs at this stage. The boss was planning to come but he went to Galway at the eleventh hour. That's twelve winners for the week now so it's been a good week all round. This horse hit the crossbar a couple of times and he deserved that. The only instruction to Pat was to go out and win as the owners (the Coughlans) were here. There is no plan now and the ease in the ground was a huge help.
