Off Your Rocco proves his stamina
He's a grand horse who doesn't do anything fancy at home but he keeps winning. We'll keep him going as long as he's doing that. I was a little worried about the trip but today he stayed very well. He's a very versatile, honest horse who could even go further than that, looking at today. We'll think about options for him. He could be one we might be able to bring to Cheltenham in October or something like that. He's a nice horse.
Cromwell's Stumptown wins on racecourse bow
Coming here if he finished fourth or fifth, I'd have been delighted but happy days and that was great. He was second in a point-to-point so we knew he'd stay well. He was a little green the whole way around, they went a good gallop and he stayed going well. He loved that soft ground, he'll stay further and I don't know where we'll go now, maybe for a rated novice.
Mrs Milner returns with Limerick win
She was a little bit fresh and got upset in the parade ring and you'd always be hoping you had them ready, especially with the ground being more testing. Bryan said he couldn't get her to shorten (her stride) and she came up outside the wings at the last. She got an awful fall at Leopardstown doing that and came up a little bit silly again today, but momentum got her over it. We have her back in action, she'll stay over hurdles and I genuinely think she has improved. If she improves, she has the Stayers Hurdle option and while I think she has improved, she needs to continue stepping up to reach a higher level.
Elliott's Kruzhlinin goes out on a high
We were under pressure running him and I hope this win doesn't go unnoticed,. We wouldn't run the horse unless he was in good form and this is great and he is retired now. We love all the horses in the yard, horses are first and foremost and while I want to train winners, we love the horses and in fairness to Camilla (Sharples, Elliott's head lass and owner of the winner) it is great. Everyone in the yard looks after this horse and he has also won 14 point-to-points. He will stay in the yard now to lead the young horses and it is brilliant.
Returning Russell rides Munster National Day winner
We thought he'd run well but didn't think he'd do that. He will be a good fun horse and we're delighted with him. I was worried about the trip but he could come back and could go over hurdles too. He is a good fun horse and Simon (McGonagle), my head man, owns him with two local publicans who gave a few quid for him so it great for them all.
Ontheropes lands knockout blow for O'Keeffe
Big Debates another for in-form Jack Foley
This is great because we are just counting days with him really as he has had a lot of issues. In his point-to-points he was second twice to two Grade 1 horses (Felix Desjy and Gold Cup winner Minella Indo) but has had a lot of problems since and every day is a bonus. We are minding him, getting there and we left him off after winning at Ballinrobe (in May). We are afraid to run him on quicker ground even though he'd prefer that more than heavy - hopefully he stays right now.
Odds-on Agritime does the business in the finale
That was a nice performance and she was entitled to do it on her form. We've been waiting for a little cut in the ground but didn't get any summer soft and the owners were good and patient. I have her since February, she should improve for a trip and going over hurdles. She'll be a nice winter mare. We decided to claim from her, it was Michael's first ride for me and he kept it simple and was very good on her.
