Second win at Navan for Speedacus
I told the lads 'when a horse is twice the price he should be, you should double the bet!'. He has been running in very good company and he is here in a 75 handicap. His form here is tremendous, he just loves the place. He doesn't take to some tracks. A no-nonsense ride. We put blinkers on him during the week and he just flew, we said 'wow!'. He has loads of speed. He won solidly down in class and at his favourite track. You'd like to think there is a good pot in him. He won a premier nursery here and a right good pot. We'll see what's there. He's not an over-big horse but he has got piles of speed.

She was very good. Unfortunately, in Down Royal (finished seventh) the ground had gone on her.
One-two for Charles Byrnes in Navan finale
We found it hard to pick between the two, we were pretty hopeful as both of them were working well. Actually, when I declared them, I thought the race was being split. If it was split, I'd have had two winners!. I thought he (Gary Halpin) would delay it as late as possible and just drop him on the line if he could, he couldn't have done much more. It was a helluva ride. He can go back over hurdles any time he wants, we'll mix and match. The runner-up has done well, he has run a fine race.
