Speak Easy makes impressive hurdle debut
We thought he'd run well. Obviously he won his point-to-point and we really liked him but to be honest I thought he was a big horse that would be even better next year. It's a surprise that he won that well and he's probably a nice horse to do that. This horse is a real chaser. He's a big well-bred horse, he's after winning his point-to-point, and he's a very exciting horse. Mark rode him work and really liked him. I'm surprised he won that well but he obviously has a good engine. His options might be limited enough. Off the top of my head I think there is a Listed race in Limerick but I'll have to talk to Frank and JP. He can go up in trip anytime and I'd imagine he probably needs a bit further.
JP & Walsh double up with A Hardy Nailer
She deserved that. I probably gave him the wrong instructions the last day. On a different course today we said we'd hold on to her a bit more. She battled well and age and experience stood to her. She had a nice run the last day and seemed in good form since. We'll see what the handicapper does and we might run her in another hurdle. She got a fall and lost her way a bit over fences so we said we'd put her back over hurdles to get her confidence. She'll go back chasing in the long-term as she has the size and scope but she just wasn't attacking her fences.
Glenabo Bridge grinds it out for McKiernan & Browne
He's a horse that's after running two or three races fairly quickly and people were kind of giving out to me about running him so quickly after Thurles. He had a fairly hard race in Thurles, he made a couple of mistakes and it took the wind out of his sails. He lost no weight or anything so I said 'why shouldn't we run him'. When he hit the last hurdle I thought he was nearly gone but he went again. He's tough out. He's a genuine galloper. At home he just puts down his head and keeps going. He's genuine and honest. He has an abundance of that. He's not the quickest but he'll grind it out. He's just big enough but he has the right attitude and has a bit of a heart so those things will help him in heavy ground. Robert Tyner's horse came at him and he was still grinding it out. It actually helped him and it was a good battle.

Invitation Only is back on track over fences
He was very impressive and jumped great. He might be back to what we thought he could have been two years ago. His jumping is his forte. He could go three miles, whether that will be Christmas or later, we'll have to see if Christmas comes too soon.
Polidam upsets hot fav for Mullins 1-2
I was just hoping that something would win, and it's grand to win a nice prize like that up here on a Saturday. The winner certainly enjoys that ground and the trip is no problem to him. We think he'll improve again. If the winner hadn't been in it the second horse would have won with his head in his chest. Acapella Bourgeois looks to be a lot more settled now, and I'd imagine we'll probably have to go back up in trip. He boiled over on his last two runs last year but he looks to be a lot more settled this year. I'd imagine we'll probably try a different trip but he's handicapped against Irish horses and he would have won easily but for Polidam being in the race. We might just have had a nice handicap mark with him. He was unexposed but he has Grade 1 form in France and by the end of the season we might be thinking that wasn't a bad performance.
