Seahenge powers home for debut success
He's very green still and should improve when he's stepped up to seven furlongs or a mile. He just hung in behind horses a bit which was greenness more than anything but he did it nicely in the finish. He'll have to improve but he could be a Stakes horse.
Mo Henry pops up at 201/ for in-form Keatley
I'm delighted for the little horse that he's won and for his owners that have stuck by him. He keeps collecting his prize money. That's around his mark and he acts on the all-weather as well. Danny gets on well with him and gets a tune out of him. I don't have anything pencilled in for him in the immediate future but I don't think he will have any problem going up to seven either. That kind of race suited him today where they go quick early. You have to try and cover him up and get amongst horses.
O'Briens double up in Naas with Music Box
She takes her racing well. She was slowly away last time in a Group Three and was back in handicap company today. I'd imagine the plan will be to try and get her some black type somewhere.
Camelback makes all for Keane/Lyons
I promise you if you wanted to come to my yard and ride a horse he’d be the one I’d give you to ride. But the minute I put the saddle on him inside (the stableyard) he threw a buck and a kick and a squeal, and then he became totally unmanageable. Colin said he wasn’t good going down to the start or in the stalls either but the very fact that he’s after winning after behaving like that is good. His head is not in the game and I’ll have to have a serious chat with his owner. I know that I’d have him gelded in the morning. He obviously has an engine. At home he’s straight forward and never breaks sweat but he’s done this before (at the racecourse).
Belle Boyd opens account in style
The filly (Petticoat) that beat us last time is decent, and she did that well. They went steady early but she put it to bed well. Billy said that he was able to set his own fractions. She is improving the whole time, and the more experience she is getting the better. She was very tricky to get into the stalls, and it took us a long time to get her in. She was losing confidence, and in fairness Will Hayes has done a great job with her. She stood there like a lamb, and she’s popping out a lot more settled in her races.
Eagle Spirit seals O'Brien's 172/1 treble
I had to bide my time but when he got out and got going he came home well.
Less Of That another for Feane
She has been very consistent. She ran during the week and it is one of the last three-year-old handicaps over a mile and a quarter for a while so we said we'd let her take her chance. The penalty probably caught up with the Bolger horse, and hopefully she can win again.
