Winners flowing for Shane O'Brien and Henry just another
That was my first runner on the track. He is a nice horse and is for sale. He has done everything really easy since we got him and we only have him since the start of September. He can be a bit enthusiastic so we popped the hood on him. He just wants to get on with it more than anything and you can't fault him for that,. Ray Beresford (brother of the winning owner) was the underbidder on him up at the sales, but he couldn't get him out of his head, so he went after him and bought him off of Aidan Fitzgerald (trainer of the runner-up here). He had to give Aidan a few pounds profit but it has worked out well. I turned twenty-eight on St Patrick's Day and I'm based near Aglish in Waterford. We put in a gallop there a year ago and things are going great since.
The Kennedys are in the number one spot again
Dunne all over the Monksgrange point-to-point bumper
I've owned winners on the track before but this is the first one I've trained. I thought he'd run well today. Shane has a very strong connection with the syndicate, he is good friends with them and they wanted him. He has done a lot of work with the horse and we said we'd stick with Shane. It worked out anyway,. He is for sale. His form on paper doesn't look the best but his run in Mainstown was very good in a competitive four-year-old maiden where he came down two out. He was upsides the leaders there and James Hannon said he thought he'd win. He was definitely going to be in the first two there anyway.
Doyle and Scallan combine for another lovely success
We were going a little bit into the unknown. She is a real staying mare and Jamie gave her an absolutely super ride, the race worked out well,. Being by Westerner out of a King's Ride mare I just loved the cross. She is a big mare for the future. We ran her today, the ground was lovely and soft and she is a real winter mare. She was ready to run a few weeks ago, she is after coming back to herself really well and the horses are in great form. Her dam Love Divided was a real good point-to-point mare and I had the half-sister, Timeless Beauty, last year. She won a point-to-point and she won on the track, she is going to be a big chasing mare.
Patience pays off with Crossgales Ophelia
She is a bit free going and I tried to get her to relax and in fairness to her she relaxed well. She got me there early and I thought myself that she was there way too soon.
Eyre Square rounds off memorable week for Cromwell
Stakes far too good for Wexford rivals
He is a fair bit of a horse. We were expecting him to run well with the form he has. He probably needed the run but he is a decent horse. He is for sale but we will see what happens. He could go for another bumper now. We have six or seven in at the moment and are based in Tinahely.
