We thought he was a nice horse. He's a big horse, probably the biggest horse here in the ring today. He wanted the ground to be as good as it was, he wouldn't want it any softer. He's the best horse that I've had anything to do with. He's been showing us plenty at home and has been working well with Fastidious. He's getting him off the bridle so we thought we had a chance. He's put on 20 kilos in the past month with training, so that's a very good sign. I think he'll come out of this well. Fergal said the hardest thing was putting him to sleep, and figuring out when to press the button because he was never going to be beaten. He was bought for a syndicate, and we bought four nice yearlings for them. It was an investment syndicate for them but it also helped to get me started in my first full year with a licence. He's for sale.

Alkasser sprints to impressive success

He's a fine big, strong horse and is from the family of Dandy Man. We thought he'd run a lot better at the Curragh but he found things a struggle in the last furlong. The drop back in distance was a big help and hopefully there is improvement to come. We'll keep him to sprint distances.

Wayne was good on him. We're starting to run him over the right trip. He won over shorter before and I think he could go further again. Hopefully he'll stay on an upward curve, and he's adaptable ground wise. He's a nice fun horse.

The concern beforehand was that his rivals had experience and form. He's still babyish and has a lot to learn but he should improve from it, and we'll see what the handicapper does before making a plan.

He's a lovely horse but it just took a few runs for the penny to drop. The faster ground is a big help for him and he should get a mile. Hopefully he'll improve again and he's by a very exciting stallion.
