Noirvento gains second win for Collins' locals
it is fantastic as the 24 member Altar Ego Syndicate is from our local pub the Croft Inn, down the road. They are all friends of mine and they got this filly last year and she was quite limited but they decided to hold on to her and she strengthened over the winter and hasn't run a bad race all year. That's her second win and this is what racing is all about — syndicates getting in and enjoying it. It is great excitement and all the guys are staying down tonight. She will stick to six and seven furlongs and she is ground dependent but is hardy as a nut.
Will Bolger take a chance with Flight Risk?
the lads in the yard have been crying out trying to get Jim to go for the likes of the (Group 1) Prix de la Foret and now he probably deserves to as he has never been as sweet, but I don't know if he'll go or not. He is a proper proper tough horse. I don't think going right-handed over seven (furlongs) at the Curragh suited him the last day, behind Romanised, and the dead-straight seven suited today. Kevin got him so switched off today and on the straight track he got him out and it was all over in a matter of strides. His form was in the book and the boss has him sweet and Kevin has done a great job with him. Maybe he could run next at Champions Weekend at Leopardstown, where he loves. we were dying to get on the straight track here and Jim (Bolger) said it would suit our horses and he was bang-on and we've had two winners.

Bolger bags treble with first runners on Cork's straight course
we had no runners on the straight-seven (furlongs) track the last day and today is our first day having runners so we have some strike-rate!. In fairness the boss was right because when he saw it, he said we'll have plenty success on that straight-seven and he has been proved right.
Murphy's Kodiqueen doubles up at Cork
we're delighted with her. I thought the handicapper was a bit hard on her for last time so we had to take 7lb off her back with Gavin (Ryan) because she's a small filly. The fact it was a three-year-old-only race today was why she ran here over five furlongs, but six furlongs is her best trip. We'll look for another handicap.

Lyons bags another juvenile winner with Cork's closer
she has a brilliant attitude and she is such a lady at home I was hoping the race would wake her up. Before the race she was sleepy and went down to the start as if she was just having a day out. She is in the same bracket as Leminsta (finished fourth at Leopardstown on Thursday) and we decided to come here over a mile with her and she will be a lovely filly over a trip next year. She has a bit of class and there were a lot of talking horses in that race today. We've just delighted as she was just ready to start and she was well bought for 8,000gns as a foal.
