Speedy Usdi Atohi makes winning debut
In-form Jered Maddox again shows his liking for the polytrack
Heart Of Darkness another for Twomey and Lee
She's improved in the two weeks (since her debut) and I think the surface has probably helped her. I'm delighted she's won, they are important colours. She ran well first time but I'd say she just didn't love the soft ground, she's enjoyed that surface today. She's a nice filly and I think we'll look at stakes races for the rest of the year. Something like the Polonia, if the ground was quick we might go back to Cork.
Magnolia has Star potential judged on debut win
Suityourselfboss scores for Browne and Hassett
She was entitled to do that but she's a nervous kind of a mare, she's always promised that she would. The last day the race didn't suit. She was caught wide the whole time, had no cover, and they only walked. She needs a good pace, she doesn't quicken but she lengthens and stays going. Its great that she's won and it was a great thrill. She's not a bad filly and she's improving the whole time. I'll give her a little break now, she wants good ground so I'll wait for a month or two.
Boadicea Belle returns from winter break with 28/1 win
She was down to a mark that she could do something off. She ran well when beaten a length in third off 60 here last year and was also third off 58. She came back well after her break and I'm delighted for the owners who have been very patient. We thought once or twice last year that she might go close and it just didn't happen so I'm delighted now. She seems to be an all-weather horse and we'll see what we do with her now. She won three times at Chelmsford so she could possibly travel to England. Hopefully the handicapper doesn't go mad with her.
Oaks Trial could be next for Port Fairy
Ryan gave her a very positive ride, a very good ride from the front. He got the fractions right, kicked at the right time and that was probably the winning of it in the end. She had one run last year and has come on mentally and physically. She's a filly that's going to stay well, she was just ready to start here tonight and she'll come on fitness wise. She'll probably go for an Oaks trial now and she'll able to step up in trip. We'll try and get black-type next and hopefully it's onwards and upwards. The way the extra meeting was added the race suited at the right time. It was a lovely median auction maiden to start her in. I'd say she wants nice ground, probably no extremes, as she's a good mover.
Moore and O'Brien double up with impeccably bred London City
Ryan gave him a lovely ride. They went a nice even gallop throughout. He had a good run the first day in the Curragh and then things just didn't go right for him in Tipperary. As you can see he's a massive big horse and he's still a baby mentally, he's going to come on mentally and physically. He's a horse that we'll take baby steps with and towards the end of the year he could turn into a nice horse. He's a typical Justify, he has a great mind on him, a great action and he gets a trip very well.
