Imperial View stays on strongly in mares maiden
She is a lovely mare and we bought her out of a point to point last year from Michael Murphy in Wexford who recommended her. Fair play to him and she has been lovely since we got her and seems a lovely nice mare who seemed green and hopefully will improve again. She is a real chasing mare, Rachael was brilliant on her and she looked a staying type there. I'm delighted with her and it is great to get it for the Schusters.
Daly Tiger roars home on chase debut
I know when they are 1/2 or 1/3 it sounds simple but they still have to go out and do it. He schooled very well at home and I told him not to try to do anything fancy on him and try to get him over his fences. He will jump better when he has to. If he stays right I think he is a very nice horse. He had a problem with his knee over hurdles and never really got a chance to show himself. It happened early as a novice but hopefully it won't rare its head again. There are a lot of Gigginstown horses in the mix for novice chases this season so we'll see where he fits in. Trying to get a run was a problem but now that he has that won, the winners' races will be next and Michael wants to go for good races. We'll go for a novice chase and see where we go from there.
Visioman completes de Bromhead/Blackmore 22/1 double
He has really taken to the fences well. We hoped he would and he has which is brilliant. Rachael was brilliant on him and he jumped great for her and he stays well. There's a 2m2f chase for him at Galway but we'll get him home first and see how he is. He is not a real winter ground horse and Rachael even said he felt it a little on the chopped up ground on the bends there. We'll see whats coming up and keep going for as long as we can.
Progressive Shanroe Al C strolls to four-timer
Chasing was always going to be his job. It was straightforward and I couldn't be happier with him. At two minutes to 12 yesterday, I threw him in at Downpatrick on Friday but I wouldn't think he'll go. John Barry (amateur jockey) is a good friend of mine and would be mad to get back on him but he is heavy enough, so we'll have to try and find a low grade race from top weight!. He does a lot of work with him and as long as I have seen the horse, he has never made a mistake, between racing, schooling at home and point to points. Chasing is definitely his job.
