Eagle finds his wings in Roscommon claimer
The ground is yielding and he enjoyed that. He kept galloping well to the line. He’s a solid horse who had been keeping good company and that is a step down in grade for him. That winner is in memory of my grandmother, dad's mother, Alice who passed away yesterday. It was a big drop in class and Billy gave him a lovely ride. If he comes out of the race alright he could go for another claimer up in trip at Fairyhouse on Friday.

Red letter day for Van Buuren on Patience
I’m from Holland and not from a horse racing background. I moved over here when I was young. I was in college but my course got changed and my sister was working in Gavin Cromwell’s yard so I went in for a few weekends and I was advised to take out a licence as I’m light. I just did it for a bit of fun and rode out in John’s a few evenings and decided to give it a go. I’m delighted for the owners and Kyanna. It’s obviously her first winner and she’s been working for me the last year. It’s tough to get people going in this game so hopefully that might get her started. She can ride and just needs the experience. The horse was got cheap in a claimer. He was drawn on the wrong side the last day in the Curragh and I thought he was a big price today but didn’t think he was going to win like that.
Spasiba steps forward nicely on second outing
I was hoping he’d do something like that. I thought he ran very well in Cork and he came on well from that run. He’s a baby and I think he’s pretty nice. He really wants to go further and he’s bred to stay but he has the class to do that over a mile and a quarter. He’s versatile ground wise. He has a big long stride on him and I’d say he’d love fast ground.
Twomey and Lee continue flying form with Rosscarbery
She’s a lovely filly, this was a natural next step after Sligo and I’d say her handicap days are probably behind her. She’s uncomplicated and is enjoying racing. She’s bred to stay and I’d imagine we will look for a Stakes race now. She doesn’t mind an ease but she has form on all sorts of ground and she has won in Dundalk.
Progressive Sally strikes again
She’s improving out of the way. She’s responded well to those tactics, plenty of daylight out in front and she was in her comfort zone practically the whole way. We’ll look for a more valuable fillies handicap and you never know where she will end up.
Final another front-running success at Roscommon
Gavin gave him a lovely ride. He stacked them up and gave him a breather before quickening it up.
